1ST JULY TASTER SESSION
Saturday 01 July 2023, 13:00 - 14:30

If you want to try your hand at archery first without embarking upon a full beginner's course, then one of our Taster Sessions is for you, where you will be taught range safety and a basic T-Draw technique using the barebow style.

Taster sessions take place on a Saturday afternoon - 13:00 - 14:30. The session will last 75 mins. This gives participants time to decide if they want to book onto a course to continue training. Please arrive promptly.

Juniors aged 10-18 must complete a taster session with us to be assessed as suitable for a Beginners course.

Please note it is not necessary to do a taster session before booking on a full course but some people like to 'have a go' first. If you decide to do a full course then early booking after your taster session is advised, as others will have booked directly onto the course and places are limited.

1. Go to where you can see an object that’s at least 10 to 20 feet away. A wall clock for example. 2. Overlay your hands, making a circle between them about 1 inch in diameter, and extend your hands to arm’s length. 3. Keeping both eyes open, use the circle to visually frame the object. 4. While making sure you keep the object framed, pull your hands slowly back to your face. 5. Your hands will draw naturally to your dominant eye. In rare cases, new archers will not have a dominant eye. When this happens, it’s best to use the dominant hand to draw the bow.
