This is a new club competition where archers who shoot three or more Frostbite rounds will qualify for the league table for their bowtype. At the end of the season, the archer from each league with the highest average score from their three highest scores submitted will win the league.
Frostbite rounds are 36 arrows (3 Dozen) shot at 30m on an 80cm Target Face (adults) Metric Scoring (m,1-10). (juniors0 20m on a 80cm Target Face.
We shoot at our own field against our own archers and the best scores from each category (Recurve, Barebow, Compound, Longbow) are submitted and go into a league table format. The winner being the highest scoring archer from each league at the end of the tournament in March 2023. You must shoot a minimum of three rounds from October until March, and your qualifying score will be the average of your three highest scores across the season.
Shooting will be in details of 1 or 2 archers (maximum 4 per target) shooting 3 arrows each then swapping details and shooting another 3 arrows each before going to collect. As with all shooting days the line must be controlled by either the Field Captain or a designated Range Captain.
These sessions are for FROSTBITE rounds ONLY and no practice or other shooting will be happening.
All archers are welcome at any level and this is a good chance for new archers to gain competition experience without the stress of shooting against people you don't know or at a new venue. There is only one distance for all adult archers and bow types.
All score sheets must be signed by the Archer and scorer and countersigned by the Field Captain / Range captain to be valid for club/county records. Please check your score sheets carefully before handing them in to the Field/Range Captain before you leave for the day.
