All archers should ensure they:-
- book online beforehand if you plan to shoot advising what round you aim to shoot
- check the website or look out for emails from the club to see if there have been any changes to the planned program before setting off for the field
- aim to arrive by the latest at 10.00am or 1.00pm (Tuesday - 9.00am/Wednesday 4.00pm) depending on the advertised shooting times so that you can help set the field out. (Particularly if you wish to shoot at a target that is not routinely put out - e.g. 90 metres/100 yards etc
- aim to stay until the end of the session even if you may have finished shooting so you can help take the field down, particularity those who may not have been there to set out the field, as a matter of courtesy to other club members.
Our weekly club day is when we shoot organised rounds as a group under Archery GB rules. There is no practice at these events and you can only shoot the required number of 'sighter' arrows before scoring.
Members are again expected to arrive on time to help set up the field and late-comers may miss their sighter rounds or early scoring ends.
On All Day club events, shooting is divided into two sessions separated by a lunch break at 12:30. You may arrive after lunch to shoot a shorter round named in the event title, but please help pack away the field at the end. Sighters will be allowed for those attending the afternoon session.
Dress code is CMO club shirt or other CMO apparel with the rest of your clothes conforming to Archery GB rules. Open-toed shoes or sandals must not be worn.
You can find out more about the particular rounds being shot by visiting the Resources section of this website.
